The Personal Banker Trainee will build strong client relationships and provide financial advice on various banking, investment, and credit solutions. The role involves managing client inquiries, ensuring a positive client experience, staying updated on banking regulations, and collaborating within a team.

What We're Looking For

Inform clients about general financial solutions, including banking, investment, and credit offerings.,Engage clients in financial conversations, ask insightful questions, and foster loyalty through positive experiences.,Provide personalized financial advice, address client questions and concerns, and escalate issues to appropriate team members while maintaining data accuracy and privacy.,Serve as a primary contact for managing client issues.,Maintain a professional demeanor in common areas, adhering to regulatory and marketing guidelines.,Collaborate with current and prospective clients to conduct financial reviews, discuss portfolio updates, and propose tailored solutions based on their financial goals.,Stay informed about emerging issues, regulatory changes, and banking code of conduct, and contribute to process improvements to protect organizational interests.,Strive to meet and improve service level agreements and performance targets.,Ensure all documentation is prepared in compliance with relevant regulations and accurately reflects business intentions.,Work effectively in a team, contribute to a positive and diverse workplace, assist and mentor colleagues, and manage communication issues efficiently.

Ideal Candidate

High school diploma and/or over one year of relevant experience.,Post-secondary diploma or undergraduate degree in a related field (an asset).,Successful completion of the IFIC course or the Canadian Securities Course (CSC).,Ability to obtain the Financial Services Advice Certificate (FSAC) within 12 months of hire.,Experience in real estate secured credit and/or investments (an asset).

Special Commitments

Must be willing to transfer and geographically relocate to another commercial bank center within the region. Geographic mobility is a condition of employment.
