This role involves handling packages in a fast-paced warehouse setting. Key responsibilities include unloading, verifying, sorting, and scanning freight, organizing sort setups, operating technology and handheld devices, placing and staging packages, building and wrapping pallets, validating sorting efficiency, and performing cleaning and safety inspections. The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds (23 kg).
Unload trailers and verify freight against manifests,
Unload freight manually into manual and powered conveyors,
Use power/manual jacks to organize, receive shipments, and feed the sort lines (Mandatory training and certification required),
Organize the sort setup as per the sort plan,
Sort, scan, and handle parcels according to the sort plan,
Operate technology and handheld devices to sort, scan, and prepare orders,
Place packages in designated areas for the delivery or Linehaul team,
Stage the sorted freight in the designated load out area as per the station layout,
Complete related tasks assigned by supervisors,
Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and packages,
Validate scanned and sorted freight to ensure sorting efficiency,
Perform cleaning, housekeeping, and safety inspections,
Lift up to 50 pounds / 23 kg
Ability to operate technology and handheld devices,
Ability to be trained and certified to use power/manual jacks,
Willingness to work in a fast-paced warehouse setting
Minimum of 3 days per week (2 weekdays + 1 weekend), with shift-based schedules. Additional availability can be arranged.
