Operations Specialist, Entitlements – Bond Interest

Description

This role involves supporting the Entitlements Canadian Operations, WM Asset Servicing Bond Interest team. The specialist will handle client requests related to entitlement operations, prioritize client inquiries, mitigate escalations, and ensure service level agreements are met. Key responsibilities also include continuously analyzing process workflows for efficiency improvements, managing operational risks, settling cash entitlements, verifying claim details, liaising with partners, and reconciling outstanding funds.

What We're Looking For

Processing client requests related to entitlement operations,Prioritizing and answering client inquiries,Mitigating escalations and meeting SLAs,Analyzing process workflows for operational efficiencies,Ensuring processes maintain operational risk thresholds,Escalating discrepancies immediately,Timely settlement of cash entitlements on sec lending activity,Verifying claim details and values with ultra-high accuracy,Liaison with business/operations partners,Timely reconciliation and resolution of funds outstanding,Relevant industry experience of 5 to 8 years, or educational equivalent,Reconciliation and balancing of funds under time-sensitive deadlines,Sound knowledge of Income allocation and executing cash movements (long/short positions or credit/debit balances),Experience with executing cash wires, generally through an application,Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word,Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Access skills,Problem solving skills and willingness to take on extra initiatives,Excellent organizational and time management skills,High client service focus,Excellent communication/analytical skills,Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to multi-task with competing priorities and timelines,Risk Management and mitigation focus mindset

Ideal Candidate

Completion of Canadian Securities Course (CSC) (Preferred),Senior experience in similar role, Corporate Actions or Entitlement Operations related within the financial industry (Preferred),Direct experience using financial operation systems and interfaces such as Broadridge Financial Services, CDSX, DTCC Cash wire applications (Preferred),Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Access, specifically database creations for automation initiatives requiring VBA writing knowledge (Preferred)
