Operations Production/QA Intern - Summer 2026
Description
This internship at Saputo focuses on operations and production within a dairy processing environment. The intern will be responsible for supervising production area workers and equipment, monitoring costs, quality, and environmental aspects. Key tasks include ensuring production volume, proper equipment setup and operation, adherence to safety, GMPs, and sanitation policies, and effective communication with various levels of management. The role also involves participating in safety programs and completing necessary paperwork.
What We're Looking For
Monitor and maintain department costs, quality, and environment.
Directly supervise department employees' activities.
Achieve daily production volume goals while controlling costs.
Ensure proper setup and operation of processes, machinery, computers, and product schedules.
Adhere to safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and sanitation policies and procedures.
Effectively communicate and interact with department employees, Plant Manager, support services, and management.
Participate in and take ownership of assigned plant safety programs.
Complete all required paperwork (production/packaging records, sanitation lists, schedules, accident reports, investigations).
Perform miscellaneous duties as needed.
Ideal Candidate
Applying experience and education related to processes involved in the production methods.
Minimum Education
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field (e.g., Operations Management, Food Science, Engineering, Supply Chain)
