This role involves monitoring and processing batch/online applications across multiple platforms in the Ontario Computer Centre on a 7x24x365 basis using Zeke scheduler. The analyst will be actively involved in handling production problems and implementing changes to the z/OS application environment.
Monitor production batch job flows across all platforms (z/OS, VSE, HP, UNIX, Windows, ISeries) using ZEKE, MVS/ISPF for all processing environments.
Ensure problems are quickly identified through review of Zeke monitoring, inbound calls, emails or tickets while providing the highest possible level of production support and service to clients.
Engage appropriate operations/support personnel on a technical level to resolve issues in a timely manner.
Review all errors with management and recommends permanent solutions to avoid a reoccurrence and identify the potential impact to the bank.
Implement changes to various applications and verify their accuracy and success.
Maintain JIRA online shift report, other online documents and other assigned projects when required.
Ensure that services are available as per client expectations and as per Service Level Agreement.
Utilize TSO/ISPF, ZEKE, ZEBB, MVS, ISPF, IMS, DB2, OMS, OnDemand, OMVS, CICS, Service Now, and Connect: Direct daily.
Undergraduate degree with IT background ideally with change management experience in complex programs with high frequency of requests and multiple priorities.
Demonstrated ability in written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation skills.
Ability to determine the information and communication needs of the stakeholders and project.
Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
Deadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high-quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
Experience with Job Control Language (JCL) environments and mainframe computing (Nice-to-have).
Programming/coding experience: COBOL, REXX, Angular, React/Vue.js, VBA (macros), C#, C++, Node.js, Active Directory, Elastic Search, Windows Servers etc. (Nice-to-have).
Postsecondary degree with a major in Computer Science, Engineering, or Technology (Nice-to-have).
Experience working rotating shifts (Nice-to-have).
