This role within RBC's Capital Markets Global Operations team involves managing post-execution trade processing and maintaining controls throughout the trade lifecycle. Responsibilities include daily reconciliation of equity trades reported by various exchanges and brokers against internal records, investigating and resolving discrepancies, and ensuring all entries are balanced up to settlement dates.
The successful candidate will ensure compliance with departmental procedures, identify, report, monitor, and resolve trade reconciliations and exceptions promptly, and book trades to ADP to clear breaks. The role demands critical problem-solving under time constraints, continuous analysis to streamline processes, and effective relationship management with teams across Canada and the US, particularly concerning Trade Breaks / ADP P&S Workflow.
Applicants must possess a University Degree (Bachelor) or equivalent, demonstrate efficient verbal and written communication, be self-starters, well-organized, capable of independent work, and exhibit good interpersonal skills for effective teamwork. Essential qualities also include the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and take initiative. Desirable qualifications include Equity Back Office or Trade Support experience, proficiency in ADP functions (MRGN, CCXR, NEWB, Reports Online), the ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines, commitment to tasks, and attention to detail.
