On Call Operator - Tulare Union
Description
Saputo Inc. is seeking an On Call Operator to ensure efficient, safe, and sanitary operation of packer machines and robots in their Tulare, CA facility. The role involves making machine adjustments, performing changeovers for different product sizes and labels, cleaning and sanitizing equipment, and ensuring correct product coding, filling, and packaging. The operator will also be responsible for accurate product counting, completing daily paperwork, maintaining a clean work area, and reporting damaged products. Communication with other staff via radio is essential to minimize downtime. The position requires adherence to all Federal, State, and Saputo Food Standards, as well as safety and regulatory policies.
What We're Looking For
Must be able to run all packer machines and robots safely, sanitarily, and efficiently.,Must check machines and make necessary adjustments (labelers, coders, lidder detectors, box makers, glue pots, etc.) to maintain efficient operation.,Must be able to change over all packers and robots to different sizes and labels safely, efficiently, and sanitarily.,Must be able to clean and sanitize all packers and robots safely and sanitarily.,Responsible for correct codes, cup and lids, and correct fill to orders.,Must be able to assist other operators during shift.,Must be able to correctly count all products packed.,Responsible for all paperwork to be complete and turned in daily to supervision.,Work area and machines must be kept clean and sanitary at all times.,Must report all lost or damaged product.,Must communicate via radio with filler, warehouse, foreman, and supervision during shift to ensure minimal downtime.,Must be able to input information into ASC Trac.,All jobs must be completed as required by Federal, State, and Saputo Food Standards.,Employee must follow all Safety and Regulatory Policies.,Other duties as assigned by supervisors or managers.
Ideal Candidate
Ability to work in manufacturing environment (noise, changing temperatures (hot, wet, cold, humid)),Ability to stand/walk/bend/stoop/climb stairs, maneuver around manufacturing equipment throughout the shift.,Ability to work with chemicals, wearing personal protective equipment and following approved chemical handling procedures.,Physical lifting up to 40-lbs intermittently throughout shift without assistance, 50-lbs with assistance.
