Description

This role at Intelcom | Dragonfly involves the strategic management and monitoring of AN/WAN networks. Key responsibilities include ensuring the proper configuration, maintenance, and upgrades of network equipment like switches, routers, and firewalls. The administrator will also implement network monitoring and security tools, provide technical support for network-related issues, optimize network performance, maintain comprehensive technical documentation, and collaborate closely with other IT teams. Additionally, the role requires staying current with new technologies and best practices in network management and cybersecurity.

What We're Looking For

Administer and monitor network equipment (switches, routers, firewalls, etc.).,Ensure proper configuration, maintenance, and upgrades of network infrastructure.,Implement network monitoring tools to detect malfunctions or intrusions.,Manage backups and security updates, ensuring compliance with IT security policies.,Provide technical support to users for network-related issues (connection, performance, access to network services).,Quickly resolve network incidents.,Analyze network performance, identify congestion points, and recommend improvements or equipment upgrades.,Maintain up-to-date documentation of network configurations, protocols, access controls, equipment settings, and network diagrams.,Work closely with development, support, and security teams for system integration.,Stay informed about new technologies and best practices in network management and cybersecurity.

Ideal Candidate

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.,3–5 years of professional experience as a Network Administrator.,Valid driver’s license required.

Hard Skills

Experience in setting up and optimizing network infrastructure
Proficiency in configuring routers, switches, and APs in an SD-WAN Meraki environment
Expertise in network protocols and OSI layers
Strong knowledge of wireless technologies (LTE, Wi-Fi 5, 6, 6E, RF)
Proficiency in configuring firewalls (Secure Connect, Umbrella, or others)
Experience with network equipment setup and configuration (Ekahau and Meraki)
Knowledge of Python or other programming languages (plus)
Ability to create technical documentation and provide support
Incident, request, and problem ticket management
Familiarity with Meraki equipment (plus)
