Municipal Finance, Renewable Energy Tax Credits - Originations

Description

RBC Capital Markets, through its Community Investments arm, is seeking a Director to lead the negotiation and execution of Renewable Energy Tax Credit (RETC) transactions. This role involves structuring and pricing new deals, securing business and credit approvals, overseeing closing execution, and providing ongoing financial modeling support for RBC's investments and syndications in renewable energy tax credit transactions. The Director will manage transaction due diligence, serve as a primary contact for Sponsors, and ensure compliance and timely financial submissions.

What We're Looking For

Lead business approval and credit support for RETC transactions, including risk management.,Lead financial modeling and analysis throughout the RETC transaction lifecycle.,Lead due diligence of investment opportunities, including KYC, document review, site visits, and third-party report analysis.,Manage and negotiate transactions through closing and true-up/stabilization.,Serve as primary or secondary point of contact with Sponsors until transaction stabilization.,Oversee equity deployment and verify funding requirements for accuracy and compliance.,Prepare Equity Requests for review and approval.,Provide oversight of transactions by analyzing performance data.,Offer technical assistance for project performance and managerial strategy.,Expedite financial and operational information receipt.,Identify and escalate potential problems to management.,Lead communication with Sponsors for timely tax return and audit submissions.,Lead financial modeling and disposition analysis at the end of the credit period.,Manage relationships with existing Sponsors and industry contacts.,Proactively identify and escalate operational risk events/deficiencies.,Review and comply with Firm Policies.

Ideal Candidate

Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting.,Renewable energy project finance experience.,Excellent quantitative and analytical skills.,Proficiency in MS-Office applications.,Specific tax equity experience (preferred).
