Description

The Mortgage Specialist Assistant supports a top-producing Mortgage Specialist by providing administrative services and support to help meet sales objectives. This role involves managing client contacts, collaborating with service partners, and ensuring efficient transaction processing. It also includes proactively managing the Mortgage Specialist's correspondence, office routines, and preparing necessary materials for presentations and marketing initiatives, while ensuring compliance with due diligence for Homebase files.

What We're Looking For

Consistently provide superior responsive execution and delivery of client transactions/requests.,Familiarity with key referral sources and strong knowledge of the mortgage process to facilitate solutions and problem resolutions.,Commitment to ensuring skills and knowledge are up-to-date and meet position requirements.,Take initiative to stay informed of current events, market news, and internal information on RBCnet and applicable internal sites.,Manage Mortgage Specialist's e-mail/mail, proactively responding and prioritizing correspondence/requests.,Manage office routines and expenses to maintain efficiency.,Proactively identify Mortgage Specialist's needs and provide required information/documents.,Gather and prepare material for presentations, marketing initiatives, etc.,Support Mortgage Specialist to complete/validate Homebase files and ensure due diligence requirements are met prior to submission to Credit Granting.

Ideal Candidate

Minimum 2 years of demonstrated excellence in a service and sales support role working in collaboration with a sales team providing advice and responding to client requests.,Exceptional customer service skills.,Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.,Good business writing skills.,Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.,Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook.,Experience with emerging communications and technology (i.e., web based meetings, social media, digital banking, and mobile applications).,Resourcefulness and ability to work independently (Nice-to-have).,Sales-oriented, self-motivated, self-managed, and thrives in a fast-paced environment (Nice-to-have).,Strong problem solving skills with a sense of urgency (Nice-to-have).,Knowledge of Royal Bank systems including Sales & Service Platform and RBCNet (considered an asset).,Strong knowledge of the mortgage process and Home Financing products (considered an asset).
