This role at Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P. is for a Licensed Millwright who will report to the Maintenance Lead. The primary responsibilities include routine and preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of manufacturing and packaging equipment.
Carry out preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment in breakdown situations to achieve production efficiencies.
Manage stock room, and request parts for routine and preventive maintenance.
Perform equipment installations, modifications, and complete changeovers.
Handle troubleshooting, maintenance, repairs, preventative/predictive maintenance plans, and spare parts supply room management.
Coordinate and oversee contractors.
Ensure all equipment is maintained properly and replacement parts for key manufacturing equipment are available to minimize downtime.
Work with other trades groups on project assignments and provide training to plant staff.
Document and maintain all appropriate records.
Follow all GMP's and work consistent with corporate and regulatory quality and sanitation requirements.
Comply with all Saputo Orangeville Health and Safety, Food Safety, and Quality regulations, policies, and procedures.
Ensure all work is performed safely while following OH&S, WSIB, and company policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Plant Manager.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or food environment.
Valid 433A Millwright license is mandatory.
SAP knowledge (asset).
Previous experience with equipment repairs and welding is a must.
Food industry experience, preferably dairy, or high-speed process equipment/packaging experience.
Pneumatics and hydraulics knowledge.
Boiler, refrigeration and air handling systems experience (asset).
Able to read blueprints, troubleshoot, and possess analytical skills.
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
High level of self-motivation and initiative.
Dependable with good attendance and safety record.
Trade Certification (433A Millwright License)
Rotational shifts: Week 1 (Sunday to Thursday, 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM), Week 2 (Monday to Friday, 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM). Subject to change based on business requirements.
Must be able to support all shifts (days, afternoon, night), including weekends and overtime, and/or be on call.
