Description

The Manager, Patient Engagement and Equity will support Moderna's efforts to enhance trial diversity, health equity, and patient engagement within clinical development. The role focuses on increasing representation of diverse populations in clinical trials and ensuring equitable access to research. This position will assist study teams in applying inclusive practices to clinical operations and facilitate community and site engagement activities under senior guidance.

What We're Looking For

Assist with implementing health equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives across assigned clinical trials. Monitor and report on demographic enrollment targets in partnership with study teams. Provide input on recruitment and retention strategies to enhance diverse patient participation in clinical studies. Support the execution of patient engagement initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate with internal teams, sites, and external partners including advocacy groups and community organizations to support outreach efforts. Participate in initiatives to expand access through decentralized or hybrid clinical trial models. Help prepare training content and awareness materials for internal and external stakeholders. Participate in study team meetings and cross-functional working groups to represent health equity objectives. Support internal communication and documentation of health equity activities and progress. Contribute to an inclusive team culture by promoting open communication and shared learning.

Ideal Candidate

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required, with a degree in public health, life sciences, clinical research, or a related field preferred. A minimum of 6 years of experience in clinical research, public health, patient engagement, or a related field. Some exposure to diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in clinical trial settings is desirable. Basic understanding of clinical trial processes and patient recruitment.
