This role involves developing and expanding national accounts within the retail channel, specifically managing the Costco business for Saputo USA. The manager will drive incremental growth and profit by owning customer accounts, developing annual business plans, executing negotiations, managing the entire Saputo portfolio (branded and private label), and leveraging internal/external business drivers and data for forecasting and analysis. The position requires strategic relationship building with customers and cross-functional teams, as well as leading sales calls and business reviews.
Own Customer accounts, jointly developing annual business growth, sales, and margin plans in line with company and category goals.
Plan, execute, close, and follow up on negotiations to create mutually beneficial outcomes.
Develop strategies to drive growth and value, achieving/exceeding annual volume and profit goals.
Manage the entire Saputo portfolio across both Saputo branded business and Customer's private labels.
Articulate the strengths and capabilities of Saputo products and services relative to competition.
Leverage internal and external business drivers to guide actions and decisions to achieve Saputo's business goals.
Own and deliver on accurate and timely forecasts for volume, trade spend, and profitability.
Utilize customer sales and syndicated data to uncover opportunities, track KPI performance, and provide fact-based analysis.
Direct and monitor all aspects of trade promotions (including post-event analysis).
Execute agreements to deliver on customer expectations, while maximizing business value.
Anticipate challenges that might impact the implementation of customer agreements and identify mitigation tactics.
Act as a category thought leader to Customer through utilization of Customer's shopper data, IRI market data in collaboration with Saputo insights, marketing, and category management teams.
Build strategic relationships to include joint business planning, top to top interactions and overall visibility to key Customer's partners.
Assist in fostering cross functional connectivity between Saputo and Customer to improve and optimize overall supply chain and operations.
Build and maintain positive relationships with customer personnel.
Lead all sales calls, business reviews, and develop presentations to effectively drive initiatives and growth plans.
Develop accurate annual SKU level forecasts by month based on item performance, seasonality, promotions, customer initiatives, and future opportunities.
Grow partnership between customer and internal cross-functional teams to drive innovation and business opportunities.
Conduct internal and external business reviews to measure, evaluate, and present sales performance, identify opportunities for growth, and highlight any risks.
Must have experience working with Costco, dairy, and private labels.
A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business administration, related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in the CPG retail sales field and customer experience.
