This role as Manager, Modelled Account Program within National Bank Independent Network (NBIN), involves leading a specialized team that provides comprehensive operational support for UMA, SMA, and discretionary portfolio programs. The manager is responsible for people leadership, operational oversight, hands-on execution of portfolio administration activities, and managing complex account issues, escalations, and peak workloads. The role also acts as a crucial link between firms, Trading, Operations, and Technology to ensure accuracy, consistency, and scalability of the program.
Own the portfolio model governance framework, including model approvals, change management, version control, audit documentation, and model level constraints, rebalancing standards, and drift thresholds.,Act as the escalation point for model exceptions, mandate breaches, error resolution, cross client variances, and operational or financial risk investigations, and implement preventative controls.,Represent the Modelled Account Program in committees, audits, regulatory reviews, and strategic initiatives, and advise sponsor firms on program design, scalability, and compliance alignment.,Lead platform initiatives, including feature deployments, automation enhancements, data quality improvements, and the resolution of platform limitations.,Oversee operational execution by coordinating with Trading and Operations to ensure rebalancing activities comply with documented standards and service level standards.,Lead client and sponsor deliverables, including the production, review, and distribution of client statements and sponsor reporting.,Identify revenue growth opportunities, potential revenue leakage, operational inefficiencies, control gaps, and process risks, and implement sustainable solutions.,Manage and grow the team by planning capacity, setting priorities, managing risk exposure, establishing goals and expectations, and supporting performance, development, and accountability.
Hold a bachelor's degree.,At least six years of relevant experience in operations, portfolio administration, or wealth management.,Demonstrated experience with managed accounts and discretionary portfolio administration, including unified managed accounts and separately managed accounts.,Experience using portfolio management, trading, and wealth administration platforms and custodial systems.,Solid knowledge of fee structures, billing methodologies, and account lifecycle management.,Proven experience managing operational risk, controls, and audit-sensitive processes.
