This is an exciting opportunity within the Global Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Compliance department. The Manager will be part of the Capital Markets, High Risk Client Management (HRCM) team, making core risk decisions related to identifying, reviewing, managing, and escalating higher-risk existing and prospective clients. Responsibilities include conducting Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) to mitigate financial, regulatory, reputational, and legal risks, and assisting in the identification, confirmation, management, quality assurance checks, and approval process for client reviews. The role requires ongoing professional development to ensure current and comprehensive knowledge of AML/CTF regulatory requirements. This full-time position may include working Canadian holidays to support international teams, with potential for flexible coverage.
Prioritize and manage High Risk Client (HRC) Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) risk assessment workflow, ensuring consistent execution of Global Standards for Client Risk Management (CRM).,Manage HRC processes (including on-boarding and periodic review) and meet all applicable regulatory timeframes.,Help individuals and teams achieve high performance through capability building, coaching, and performance management.,Provide candid and actionable feedback to foster a Growth mindset and alignment with RBC values.,Ensure assigned work is reviewed and completed within timelines and benchmarks, and quality assurance feedback is understood and applied.,Collaborate with business partners and stakeholders to ensure proper and timely escalation of issues/reviews in accordance with RBC policies.,Communicate and follow up with business partners to obtain necessary information for timely completion of reviews/reports.,Provide feedback to the Senior Manager on process gaps to ensure compliance with AML/CTF legislation, policies, and procedures.
Must-have: 2+ years of strong Financial Crimes, AML/Fraud knowledge to prevent the use of RBC's financial services for money laundering and terrorist financing.,Must-have: Knowledge of and/or experience in AML Compliance, Financial Crimes investigations with working knowledge of AML compliance requirements and regulations for CAN, US, Caribbean, UK & APAC.,Must-have: Skilled in Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel, Word applications.,Must-have: Post-secondary education or equivalent experience.,Nice-to-have: Some management experience.,Nice-to-have: CAMS designation.
