Manager, Global Asset Management Finance

Description

This role supports RBC Global Asset Management (RBC GAM) by producing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results packages for senior management, highlighting key trends and drivers impacting the financial performance of various GAM lines of business. The manager will also contribute to the annual planning, forecasting, and 5-year outlook cycles, and guide the GAM US business on day-to-day finance operational processes such as AP, AR, and general ledger management.

What We're Looking For

Ensure accurate reflection of RBC GAM Institutional, Investment Management, and Operations results in financial systems and provide fact-based analysis for business decisions.,Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile financial views (legal entity vs. management), and provide supporting schedules.,Collaborate with the Financial Controls team for effective control, governance, and oversight of month-end close, resolving accounting/reporting issues.,Prepare monthly Flash and financial results packages for GAM leadership, offering commentary on performance against Plan/Forecast for Revenue, NIE, FTE, and AUM.,Assist with the preparation of quarterly internal Board of Director financial packages for P&L and Balance Sheet under US GAAP.,Actively participate in planning, forecasting, and 5-year financial outlook, focusing on transparency.,Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual schedules for other Finance and Operation teams.,Participate in automation projects to streamline processes.,Complete ad-hoc analysis and tasks.

Ideal Candidate

CPA designation with 3+ years of progressive experience in an accounting or finance role within a large organization.,Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint.,Strong analytical, problem-solving, and logical thinking skills with attention to detail.,Strong communication and interpersonal skills.,Comfortable dealing with incomplete information, uncertainty, and change.,Nice-to-have: Knowledge of RBC financial systems (EPM, Cognos TM1 Perspective, PeopleSoft, SAP) and finance operational processes.,Nice-to-have: Financial services industry experience (asset or wealth management).,Nice-to-have: Familiarity with US GAAP and other US regulatory reporting requirements.
