Description

This role involves providing operational, managerial, and client support for Foreign Exchange and Money Market settlements for RBC Capital Markets' global trading desks. The manager will oversee daily business operations, client services, and ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions in accordance with bank rules and procedures.

What We're Looking For

Act as local Team Manager, overseeing daily business and client services for the FX and MM settlements team.,Manage confirmation and settlement of all FX & MM trades according to bank rules, standing orders, and local requirements.,Ensure timely and accurate completion of daily processing and settlement tasks.,Conduct intra and EOD checks, identifying and actioning/escalating outstanding issues.,Provide relief support and perform other assigned duties across teams.,Maintain effective communication with Front Office, internal Global OS colleagues, and other functions.,Review and approve Desk Procedures and Daily Check Lists.,Train and guide new/junior staff, ensuring strong processing knowledge.,Participate in local Audit reviews for the division.,Escalate issues/risks to management.,Identify areas for improvement to create operational efficiencies.,Perform 1:1 meetings and bi-annual/annual appraisals.,Minimum 5 years of operations experience with proven understanding of FX and MM trade lifecycle events.,Extensive working knowledge in SWIFT, Real Time Payment Systems, International Settlement Rules, Industry codes, and best practices.,Extensive understanding of operational risk, impacts, and preventative control framework.,Proven managerial excellence and change leadership.,Solid understanding of accounting principles.,Ability to perform analysis of business processes and implement change.,Ability to work shift hours to cover EMEA time zones.

Ideal Candidate

Minimum 5 years of operations experience with proven understanding of FX and MM trade lifecycle events.,Extensive working knowledge in SWIFT, Real Time Payment Systems, International Settlement Rules, Industry codes, and best practices.,Extensive understanding of operational risk, impacts, and preventative control framework.,Proven managerial excellence and change leadership.,Solid understanding of accounting principles.,Ability to perform analysis of business processes and implement change.,Ability to work shift hours to cover EMEA time zones.
