Description

The Manager Financing Solutions position within the Commercial & Private Wealth Management 1859 team at National Bank of Canada involves acting as a credit expert. This role requires close collaboration with commercial account managers and various internal and external partners. The primary goal is to conduct high-quality credit analyses, structure financing applications, and negotiate credit terms, ultimately providing effective commercial financing solutions to clients while managing risks. The role involves supporting team members and identifying sector-specific risks.

What We're Looking For

Perform high-quality credit analyses according to Credit Centre standards and make recommendations.,Structure credit applications, mitigating risks and developing financing scenarios that meet client needs and Bank risk criteria.,Collaborate with Commercial Account Managers to determine client financing needs.,Negotiate credit terms and conditions with Credit Risk Management and confirm financing availability for Commercial Account Managers.,Obtain feedback from Account Managers on preliminary credit applications, adjust as needed, and present to the RVP before forwarding to Credit Risk Management.,Produce documents and update client files in collaboration with account representatives and Credit Risk Management for efficient processing.,Act as a resource for the team on credit matters and assist in skill development.,Identify risks inherent to sector activities.

Ideal Candidate

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 6 years of relevant experience, OR a master’s degree in a related field and 4 years of relevant experience, OR an undergraduate diploma from the National Bank University Program and 8 years of relevant experience.,Negotiation experience.,Experience in commercial credit.,Experience analyzing financial statements.
