Description

The Manager, Financing Solutions, is a credit expert within the Commercial Banking and Private Banking 1859 team at National Bank of Canada. This role involves collaborating with account managers and other internal/external partners to conduct credit analyses, structure financing solutions, and mitigate risks. The manager will play a key role in client financing needs, negotiating terms, and ensuring compliance with the bank's profitability and risk criteria, positively impacting both colleagues and clients.

What We're Looking For

Perform high-quality credit analyses and make recommendations.

Structure credit applications to mitigate risks and develop client-focused financing scenarios.

Participate in determining client financing needs with Commercial Banking Account Managers.

Negotiate credit terms and conditions with the Credit Centre.

Obtain and adjust comments from account managers on preliminary credit applications and present to RVP.

Collaborate with account representatives and the Credit Centre for documentation and file updates.

Act as a resource person for credit questions and contribute to team skill development.

Identify risks inherent to the sector's activities.

Bachelor's degree in a related field with six years of relevant experience, OR Master's degree in a related field with four years of relevant experience, OR University certificate with eight years of relevant experience.

Negotiation experience.

Experience with commercial credit.

Experience in financial statement analysis.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and make recommendations.
