Description
The Manager, Financial Analysis at KPMG's Financial Reporting team is responsible for preparing financial reports using Power BI and Excel, collaborating with internal clients across Canada to present findings and address inquiries. This role involves data management, including querying databases with SQL, and a commitment to continuous learning in data visualization, Microsoft Azure, Power BI, Excel, automation, and AI technologies to effectively support the business with financial insights.
What We're Looking For
Create and modify Power BI reports.
Create financial reports and perform ad hoc analyses in Excel.
Review reports to ensure accuracy.
Discuss report requirements with end-users.
Meet with internal clients to answer business questions.
Demonstrate newly created reports to end-users.
Collaborate with other Financial Reporting team members to solve data problems, build new reports, and discuss improvements.
Use SQL to query databases in Azure Synapse and SQL Server.
Identify data discrepancies.
Research data visualization best practices.
Develop proficiency with Microsoft Azure, Power BI, and Excel.
Explore opportunities for increasing efficiency via automation and AI technology.
Learn about the business and how to support it with financial information.
Ideal Candidate
Experience creating Power BI reports.
Ability to write DAX measures.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Undergraduate degree in business, finance, accounting, or data science.
Excellent communication skills.
Confidence to present work and discuss improvements with end users.
Analytical problem-solving mindset.
Minimum Education
