Manager Financial & Regulatory Reporting

Description

This role involves overseeing and influencing regulatory financial reporting to the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO) for specific legal entities within Wealth Management and Capital Markets. The manager will prepare monthly and annual financial information for external regulators, create variance commentaries for senior management, conduct analytical work for quarterly board packs, and coordinate internal and external audits. The position also includes assisting with special projects, transformation initiatives, and identifying efficiency gains to optimize processes.

What We're Looking For

Ensure timely submission of monthly regulatory financial reports to CIRO.,Conduct quarterly and annual counterparty classification scrubs, collaborating with internal departments and assessing financial information for audit.,Review and assess files from other departments for accuracy and completeness.,Facilitate monitoring of organizational targets through weekly Risk Adjusted Capital (RAC) estimates.,Conduct timely regulatory margin testing and perform ad hoc analysis, fee calculation, and reporting.,Facilitate annual external audit and regulatory examinations.,Prepare and conduct monthly conference calls with internal departments to discuss key transactions, reporting issues, system changes, and upcoming projects.,Support management in streamlining working papers, redesigning processes, and implementing automation for efficiency.

Ideal Candidate

University degree in Finance/Accounting,Finance/Accounting designation – CPA, CA preferred,3+ years' work experience in finance/accounting/audit field, preferably in financial services or regulatory reporting or broker dealer industry,Experience in financial analysis and financial/regulatory reporting
