Description

The Manager, Enterprise Control Testing leads a team of analysts in executing risk and control evaluation activities, including testing controls for assigned programs. Key responsibilities include demonstrating strong management and risk management skills, creating and managing control evaluation plans, maintaining tools, identifying and communicating control gaps, and acting as an escalation point. The role also involves preparing reports, negotiating findings with stakeholders, validating and closing control gaps, and continuously developing expertise in RBC’s businesses and risk management methodologies. Additionally, the manager contributes to process improvement projects and supports the development of assessment and testing tools.

What We're Looking For

Lead and coach a team of Senior Analysts/Analysts in control testing.,Execute risk and control evaluation activities (review and challenge, controls testing).,Demonstrate advanced risk management knowledge.,Create and manage control evaluation coverage plans and metrics.,Perform, review, and sign-off on control evaluation work papers and results.,Facilitate and advise on Control Testing status.,Maintain ECT tools and archive systems.,Identify, aggregate, and communicate issues and control gaps to management and stakeholders.,Act as primary escalation point for control testers.,Prepare refined reports and memos, including issues and proposed action plans.,Display interpersonal and negotiation qualities to conduct meetings and socialize findings.,Validate and close control gaps and self-identified issues.,Continually develop deeper understanding of RBC's businesses and subsidiaries.,Develop relationships across the organization to facilitate communication and strategic partnerships.,Actively develop RBC wide control evaluation standards and methodology.,Continuously develop domain subject matter expertise in risk management and control evaluation activities.,Contribute to ad-hoc assignments/special process improvement projects.,Participate in regular discussions with Management on strategies and and work plans.,Support with development and maintenance of tools utilized to execute and memorialize risk assessments and control testing.,Complete mandatory trainings.,7 years of experience in risk management, compliance, audit or consultancy.,Experience in Operational Risk Management, Compliance or Audit/consultancy.,Strong knowledge of risk and control identification and assessment.,Strong knowledge of control design and effectiveness testing lifecycle.,Proactive in identifying risks and proposing solutions.,Flexible and able to follow tight deadlines and multi-task.,High attention to details and strong analytical skills.,Highly motivated, self-starter, problem solver, solution oriented.,Strong team player, able to coach, build resilience and develop talents/skills.

Ideal Candidate

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting, Finance, Actuarial Science or other Business-related fields.,Professional qualification in accounting, certifications associated with Risk Management or Compliance (Nice-to-have).,Familiarity or prior experience with financial and/or regulatory reporting (Nice-to-have).
