The Manager, Employee Relations will lead and oversee the delivery of a high-quality, consistent, and legally compliant Employee Relations (ER) service across Saputo's UK sites. This role involves managing two ER team members, ensuring organizational compliance with UK employment legislation, and directly handling complex, high-risk ER matters, including Employment Tribunal and ACAS Early Conciliation cases. The position requires close collaboration with HR leadership and senior leaders to provide balanced ER advice and drive continuous improvement in ER processes.

What We're Looking For

Lead the ER team in effectively managing a range of ER cases including disciplinary, grievance, performance management, absence management, redundancy, and change-related activities.,Manage investigations and formal hearings, directly intervening in sensitive, high-risk matters.,Coordinate the preparation, documentation, and progression of Employment Tribunal (ET) and ACAS Early Conciliation cases.,Partner with the HR Leadership Team and senior leaders to provide commercially balanced ER advice.,Engage with both trade unions and non-union employee groups to support effective consultation, issue resolution, and ongoing relationships.,Develop and own the ER policy strategy for the UK, ensuring policies align with current UK employment legislation and organizational needs.,Drive continuous improvement of ER processes by regularly reviewing case trends and outcomes across the UK business.

Ideal Candidate

Significant experience in Employee Relations, including ownership of complex and high-risk cases.,Strong, up-to-date knowledge of UK employment legislation and ER best practice.,Experience managing Employment Tribunal (ET) and ACAS Early Conciliation cases at a senior level.,Knowledge of policy developments and implementation.,CIPD Level 5 qualification.,Experience of operating in unionised and non-unionised environments (desirable).
