Description

This opportunity involves providing compliance support and advice to RBC's Wealth Management Canada business units, including RBC Phillips, Hager & North Investment Counsel, RBC Private Counsel USA, and RBC Royal Trust. The role focuses on drafting policies, producing reports for senior management and the board, and responding to inquiries from the branch network to mitigate civil, regulatory, and reputational risks for RBC. Additionally, the role assists with regulatory and internal initiatives and projects.

What We're Looking For

Draft and amend policies and procedures, participating in enterprise-wide policy initiatives.,Provide advisory support and respond to inquiries from the branch network.,Manage compliance communications, including drafting announcements, reminders, and maintaining the internal compliance site.,Review business marketing material and other client/employee communications for compliance and regulatory adherence.,Support Chief Compliance Officers, Directors, and Associate Directors on special projects, policy updates, and regulatory-driven initiatives.,Assist with drafting communications, memorandums, presentations, and reports for senior management and the board.,Assist in developing and delivering business training.,Assist with regulatory requests (e.g., information requests, investigations).,Assist with the Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) program, including control monitoring.,7+ years' experience in the securities/investment or financial services industry, with at least 2 years focusing on portfolio managers and/or trust companies.,Strategic mindset, ability to work well within a team, manage conflict, negotiate, and influence decision-making.,Strong interpersonal skills and a client service focus.,Excellent verbal and written communication skills.,Effective time-management, prioritization, and ability to manage change.,University degree (preferably in business, finance, economics, law, or accounting).
