Description

The Manager, Communications Surveillance U.S. provides surveillance for RBC Capital Markets, Global Asset Management, Wealth Management, Transaction Banking, and Treasury Services. The role involves supporting the Compliance and Surveillance Program for communications, conducting reviews of electronic and audio communications, investigating suspicious patterns, facilitating email retrievals, assisting with compliance investigations, preparing management reports, and developing monitoring programs.

What We're Looking For

Oversee and conduct reviews of electronic and audio communications, integrating with the wider Surveillance team.,Conduct deep-dive investigations into suspicious communication patterns and report to Senior Management and Head of Compliance.,Instigate proactive and bespoke searches across communication platforms.,Drive forward RBC's electronic and audio communications monitoring functionality.,Facilitate e-mail retrievals and assist with Compliance investigations.,Prepare monthly management information reports on employee behaviors and surveillance trigger effectiveness.,Ongoing development of reports, systems, and processes for an effective monitoring program.,Must have a completed bachelor's degree in Finance, Law, Business, or any discipline.,5-8 years of experience in Compliance, Internal Audit, or Risk Management within the financial services industry.,Deep understanding of Capital Market and Service Act.,Willingness to accept accountability, work with limited direct supervision, and support cross-unit cooperation.,Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.,Professional demeanor, investigative analysis, and attention to detail.,Proactive approach and ability to work independently.

Ideal Candidate

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Law, Business, or any discipline.,5-8 years of experience in Compliance, Internal Audit, or Risk Management, specifically finance services industry.
