Manager, Capital Markets Performance Management

Description

This role involves acting as a finance advisor within the Capital Markets (CM) Performance Management team, specifically supporting the CM AI and Digital Innovation team. Key responsibilities include management reporting, financial planning, and analysis to assist business leaders in integrating AI across CM lines of business and strategies. The role is crucial for identifying, tracking, and communicating Capital Markets' contribution towards RBC's Investor Day commitment of generating $700mm to $1bn in value from AI and digital initiatives. The manager will also oversee monthly and quarterly financial reporting for Capital Markets, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, enhancing controls, providing value-added analysis, developing analytical tools, and preparing presentations for senior finance executives.

What We're Looking For

Act as a primary finance contact for the Head, AI and Digital Innovation, assessing financial and non-financial performance, deriving conclusions, and presenting results.,Manage monthly and quarterly platform management reporting and analysis cycles for senior management, functional partners, and external reporting.,Provide insightful reporting and analytics on RBC Capital Markets' AI and Digital Innovation strategy to support executive decision-making, business opportunity identification, and monitoring of the economic and regulatory environment related to AI.,Collaborate with CM Finance advisors on financial estimates, quarterly forecasts, annual plans, and 5-year outlooks.,Promote continuous learning in AI topics, market trends, competitive environment, regulatory landscape, and business opportunities to enhance financial and business analysis.

Ideal Candidate

CPA or Finance MBA.,4+ years' experience in management reporting and analysis, and driving strategic projects.,Experience in business relationship management.,Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to play a leadership role across a wide group of peers.,Experience with project management and the ability to act as an effective catalyst for change.,Keen sense of numbers, target setting, strong analytical skills, and the ability to multitask and handle high-pressure executive-level requests continuously.,Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with a strong ability to influence stakeholders and mobilize groups to deliver on common goals.,Superior organizational, analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.,Ability to consistently exercise independent thought and judgment, innovate, and adapt to new tasks quickly.,Proactive and persistent in issue resolution.,Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills, including experience with automation initiatives to enhance efficiency.,Nice to Have: Solid experience and understanding of bank structure, risk management concepts, and capital markets products and strategies.,Nice to Have: Exposure to regulatory compliance, as well as standard setting and interpretation.
