Manager, Audit Quality & Risk Management (14 Month Contract)

KPMG is seeking a dynamic individual to join their Audit Quality and Risk Management (AQ&RM) group as a Manager. This role focuses on ensuring the firm and its personnel comply with professional, regulatory, and KPMG risk management policies. The manager will primarily manage the internal Quality Performance Review (QPR) program, which evaluates engagement quality and drives continuous improvement. The role also involves contributing to other Risk Management and Quality initiatives, including the design and implementation of controls for the Firm's System of Quality Management, aligning with ISQM 1 and PCAOB QC 1000 standards. This is a hybrid position.

What We're Looking For

Apply global program instructions, professional, and regulatory standards for QPR program scope and coverage.

Perform basic reviews of audit and assurance engagement details, including financial statements, for engagement selections.

Promote reliability of inspection results through data integrity controls.

Participate in developing QPR training and maintaining process information guides.

Prepare detailed planning and reporting documents for the annual QPR program.

Research audit methodology and risk management queries, providing support to review teams and escalating issues as needed.

Provide direction and supervision to Senior Analysts within the QPR team and perform first-level review of reports and analysis.

Develop and maintain robust documentation for ISQM 1 and QC 1000 controls.

Provide leadership in timely and accurate communication with stakeholders (engagement teams, Business Unit leadership, review teams, Q&RM leadership).

Perform qualitative analysis of QPR program results to identify themes, causal factors, and drive responsive actions.

Leverage technology and AI to drive consistency and efficiency in risk management tasks.

Ideal Candidate

Post-secondary education in a relevant field or equivalent work experience,

CA/CPA designation or equivalent will be an an asset,

Prior experience in a large professional services firm or similar environment, including experience in audit or audit risk management, will be an asset
