Description

The Manager, AML High Risk/Enhanced Due Diligence (HREDD) oversees activities related to identifying, assessing, and monitoring high-risk clients according to CIBC's Client Risk Assessment Standard. This role involves analyzing high-risk client relationships, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation (including Politically Exposed Persons), and managing technological applications for high-risk and non-resident clients.

What We're Looking For

Oversee activities for identifying, assessing, and monitoring high-risk clients.,Assist in identifying high-risk client relationships in Canada and globally.,Conduct thorough analysis of relationships to assess potential risks.,Oversee technological applications to ensure compliance with legislation related to High Risk and non-resident clients (e.g., Politically Exposed Persons).,Hire, coach, and develop staff to support HREDD goals and objectives.,Lead a team of 7-8 staff members, providing effective management guidance.,Use strong influencing skills to promote/negotiate the needs of the AML Group.,Ensure compliance with policies and standards, identifying opportunities for improvement.,Partner with other AML and technology groups to enhance CIBC’s enterprise-wide AML programs.,Assist investigators in obtaining mandatory client information and track completion of high-risk files within predefined timelines.

Ideal Candidate

At least 3 years of experience in Anti-Money Laundering (AML).,Experience working in the banking/financial industry.,Minimum 2 years of experience managing teams of up to 5 members.,CAMS accreditation (asset).,Ability to investigate complex problems and communicate detailed information effectively.,Digitally savvy, adapting to new tools and trends.,Values trust, teamwork, and accountability.
