This role is with the AML FIU, part of the RBC Global AML Program. The Manager provides tactical direction and end-to-end ownership for executing demarkets for AML and CIS globally. They are the subject matter expert for assigned workflows, respond to queries and escalations, and act as a mentor. The manager actively contributes to continuous improvement within the Global AML Demarkets Team and collaborates with other teams to build a best-in-class AML FIU.
Serve as the subject matter expert for assigned case and alert workflows, including Demarket Referrals and Global Demarket Coordination.,Take ownership of assigned workflows by collaborating with internal business partners.,Ensure timely and accurate completion of assigned workflows to mitigate risk and meet RBC's regulatory obligations.,Understand and adhere to established internal procedure documents.,Actively support and contribute to a continuous improvement approach for quality and processes.,Participate as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in projects impacting Regulatory Support team workflows.,Strictly adhere to Risk and Compliance requirements for core activities.,Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with AML FIU team members and Business Partners (e.g., other teams, upstream/downstream teams, Compliance, Operations, CIS).,Respond to internal questions, requests, and escalations (phone/email).
2+ years of relevant work experience.,Post-secondary education or equivalent.,Awareness of regulatory requirements such as AML (Canada/US), OSFI, OFAC, OCC, Bank Act, CPA, IDA/OSC, BSA, PIPEDA.,ACAMs certified (Nice-to-have).,Working knowledge in relevant compliance guidelines and regulations (Nice-to-have).,Good knowledge of RBC Banking Account management or risk management background (Nice-to-have).,Awareness of business applications, industry standards, and service management (Nice-to-have).,Awareness of business units within RBC/Industry and how they interact/function (Nice-to-have).,Awareness of banking products, requirements, and regulations (Nice-to-have).,Working knowledge to prevent the use of RBC's financial services for money laundering and terrorist financing (Nice-to-have).,Knowledge of bank-wide structures, businesses, and operations, particularly payments, compliance, and internal audit (Nice-to-have).
