Maintenance Supervisor

Description

The Maintenance Supervisor, reporting to the Maintenance Manager, is responsible for the efficient and economical maintenance of all mechanical, electrical, computer-aided, and utility technologies used in manufacturing, packaging, storage, and shipping at Saputo's Abbotsford Facilities. This role involves continuous improvement strategies, staying updated with technological developments, and building strong relationships within the organization. It's a full-time, Monday-Friday position requiring availability to support 24/7 operations.

What We're Looking For

Leadership/coaching of maintenance personnel,Maintain current knowledge of all sanitation, refrigeration, packaging, and storage equipment,Establish annual maintenance plan and budget, review revenues and costs monthly,Maintain high standards of sanitation, housekeeping, and cleanliness in the maintenance shop and equipment areas,Provide professional advice regarding repair and maintenance of machines and equipment,Facilitate timely and efficient packaging of fluid products,Carry out preventative maintenance on assigned equipment,Troubleshoot and repair equipment in breakdown situations,Provide training to maintenance & plant staff,Work with all trades groups to complete project assignments, coordinate with vendors & engineering,Supervise electrical installations,Ensure PLC programs are updated and current,Develop appropriate schedules, manning, and material requirements,Ensure availability of appropriate tools,Maintain in good repair all production, packaging, storage, shipping, and material handling equipment and physical plant,Ensure all work is performed safely, following OH&S, WCB, and Company regulations and procedures

Ideal Candidate

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field,5+ years of experience in a supervisory or management role,Experience in a Preventive Maintenance Program,Knowledge of CMMS software (an asset),Experience in Parts Inventory,Experience in Cost Control,Experience in Sourcing Parts,Experience in Managing budget,Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages,Knowledge and experience in SAP & Kronos (an asset),Broad understanding of computer-aided processing and packaging equipment,Food industry or high-speed packaging experience,PLC training and experience (an asset)
