This role involves supervising maintenance employees on the 3rd shift at Saputo's new 340,000 sq ft conversion facility in Franklin, WI. The supervisor will oversee maintenance services, support production in a 24/7 operation, and ensure effective delivery of services by planning, assigning work, and resolving issues. The position focuses on optimizing equipment, enhancing safety, and maintaining production systems in line with company policies and regulations.
Collaborate with plant and facility management to improve safety, production quality, equipment reliability, and overall equipment effectiveness.,Supervise both maintenance and capital projects.,Utilize mechanical and electrical expertise for system and building maintenance.,Manage asset utilization through a computerized maintenance management system and scheduled preventative maintenance.,Ensure all utilities (refrigeration, electrical, steam, compressed air systems) are in proper working order.,Implement corrective actions based on maintenance performance indicators.,Stay current with industry regulations and codes.,Ensure compliance with corporate policies and standards.,Complete necessary paperwork and maintain technical documentation (PLCs, schematics, SOPs, PM program, inventory/parts purchasing).,Monitor and enforce plant rules and programs (safety, food safety, regulatory).,Manage and develop maintenance employees, including selection, retention, performance management, and training.,Adhere to Saputo's code of ethics and values.
Minimum five (5) years industrial maintenance experience within a dairy, food, and/or beverage manufacturing industry workplace environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.,Previous supervisor level experience is required (leadhand experience is not sufficient).,Working knowledge of boilers, cooling towers/chillers, Hayssen packaging equipment & Yamato high speed scale (or similar equipment), conveyor systems, HVAC equipment & Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs).,Skills in electronics, instrumentation and electrical systems and troubleshooting, reading electrical schematics and understanding ladder logic.,Ability to calculate basic mathematical equations and formulas.,Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices in the food industry.,Ability to coach, train, lead, and retain a team of employees through strong leadership skills.,Knowledge of SAP/Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, Maintenance Planning software experience & new facility/start-up operations experience are a plus.,Experience leading and following Safety/Security Policies and Procedures.,Ability to follow all Sanitation and Quality Policies and Procedures, and report and follow through on any deficiencies.
10:00 PM - 6:00 AM (Supervisor is expected to work 30 minutes prior & after regular shift hours)
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends.,Requires working in a manufacturing environment (noise, changing temperatures (hot, wet, cold, humid), standing/walking/bending/stooping/climbing stairs, maneuvering around manufacturing equipment consistently throughout the shift).,Physical lifting ability up to 40-lbs unassisted frequently throughout the shift.
