This role involves coordinating with vendors for accurate manufacturing part numbers, collaborating with engineering on PM procedure modifications, and ensuring commonality of equipment and parts with various departments. The clerk will issue parts and supplies for planned maintenance, manage inventory records, perform audits, and investigate discrepancies. Other responsibilities include maintaining the parts room documentation, preparing reports, procuring parts, daily stocking, handling damaged or missing orders, and maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
Coordinate with vendors for accurate manufacturing part numbers.,Interface with engineering on PM procedure changes.,Coordinate with supervisors, managers, maintenance technicians, and employees for equipment and parts commonality.,Issue parts, consumables, and equipment supplies for PMs, tasks, and work orders.,Compile and maintain inventory records.,Perform periodic parts/supply inventory audits and reconcile totals.,Investigate and report discrepancies.,Compile information on receipt/disbursement of parts/supplies and compute inventory balance, price, and cost.,Maintain parts room with equipment plans, procedures, SOPs, and documentation for safe and proper PM activities.,Prepare reports (inventory balance, price lists, shortages).,Prepare lists of depleted items and recommend survey of defective/scrap items.,Procure parts/supplies according to company policies.,Daily stock, inventory, and issuance of parts/supplies.,Notify Supervisor of damaged/missing parts and coordinate with vendors.,Receipt in all special order parts and maintain special order/backorder files.,Maintain a safe, clean working environment and perform housekeeping duties.,Participate in all training sessions.,Adhere to Saputo code of ethics and values.,Work professionally in a team environment.,Perform other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or equivalent.,Minimum of 3 years of purchasing and inventory management experience in a maintenance or production environment, preferably in food manufacturing.,Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office: Windows, Word, Excel, email, general office equipment).,SAP experience preferred and have the ability to learn new applications is required.,Extensive knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment and components.,Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures and preventive maintenance process.,Demonstrate a proficiency and understanding of systems such as safety, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and code compliance as it related to documenting procedures and developing PM’s.,Possess an understanding of OSHA and GMP regulations.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to work weekends and extended work hours as required.
