Machine Operator (2nd Shift)

Description

This role at Saputo involves setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery across various departments to ensure efficient production of high-quality products. The operator is responsible for smooth machine operation, proper maintenance, and adherence to safety regulations and quality control procedures.

What We're Looking For

Ensure quality and productivity while maintaining efficient equipment operation.,Responsible for all adjustments, minor repairs, and changeovers of equipment.,Maintain accurate records and documentation.,Operate metal detectors and complete associated paperwork.,Perform quality control, follow reporting procedures, and report problems to a supervisor.,Monitor overall quality of the finished product and maintain sanitary conditions.,Perform quality checks to assure product packaging meets specifications.,Comply with all company policies and procedures (GMP, SOP, HACCP, SSOP, H&S).,Keep work area neat, clean, and organized.,Minimize waste and make productive use of downtime.,Attend mandatory safety and departmental meetings.,Sanitize lines when needed.,Enter data on production reports.,Perform any assignment according to safety policies and procedures.,Produce products exceeding quality and value expectation by adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, Policies and Procedures in the Safe Quality Food Program.

Ideal Candidate

Ability to consistently push, pull, and lift between 20 and 100 pounds.,Working knowledge of production and plant processes.,Ability to work scheduled hours and required overtime.,Basic analytical and numerical skills; ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.,Ability to read and comprehend production worksheets.,Ability to work in a manufacturing environment (noise, changing temperatures, standing/walking/bending/stooping/climbing stairs, maneuvering around equipment).,Physical lifting up to 40-lbs unassisted frequently.,Working with chemicals and wearing personal protective equipment.

Work Hours

2nd Shift (2:00PM-3:00PM Start, 10:00PM-11:00PM End); requires scheduled hours and overtime as needed.
