RBC Borealis is seeking a Machine Learning Software Engineer Team Lead for AI Solutions. This role involves technical leadership, guiding a team of individual contributors in developing and delivering high-quality machine learning products for the financial services industry. The team is dedicated to advancing AI science and creating substantial value for RBC and its customers.
What We're Looking For
Architect and guide development of machine learning systems, making critical technical decisions.
Stay updated on ML/AI advancements and determine their applicability to business objectives.
Drive technical excellence through code reviews, design discussions, and hands-on problem-solving.
Occasionally contribute code and participate in delivery.
Lead a team of ML engineers.
Break down complex ML projects into executable milestones, delegating effectively.
Coach and mentor team members through technical challenges, empowering independent decision-making.
Ideal Candidate
A degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
7+ years of experience as a software engineer.
1+ years of experience in technical leadership, comfortable setting technical strategy for a team across multiple work streams.
Hands-on experience in Gen AI technologies and deep understanding of the Gen AI product life cycle.
Experience with Machine Learning systems.
Experience in managing/mentoring/coaching people and enabling and empowering junior engineers.
Minimum Education
Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
