This role at Saputo involves performing routine quality control inspections and tests on products and packaging within a manufacturing environment. The technician is responsible for documenting test results, identifying deviations from specifications, maintaining lab equipment, assisting with environmental swabbing, supporting internal and external audits, and processing production records. This is an anticipated 18-24 month position.
Routinely collect product samples and perform quality tests, recording results in accordance with established specifications.,Apply and interpret test results, effectively communicating any out-of-specification findings following established notification and escalation protocols.,Maintain all QC records and filing with exceptional organizational skills.,Accurately complete test results and enter all data into the system.,Calibrate and maintain lab testing equipment and tools.,May assist with performing environmental control swabbing after clean-up and CIP/SIP, reporting any deviations.,Support internal and external audits, including mock and product recall program guidelines.,Prepare and process production records to isolate any out-of-specification product, including on-hold and regulatory holds.,Complete company records and documents accurately and neatly.,Be proficient with all quality control functions throughout the facility.,If applicable, must be able to complete, pass, and maintain specific State regulatory licensing/certificate requirements (CDFA, DFA Appendix N, Good Laboratory Practices).,Perform good laboratory housekeeping within established guidelines.,Comply with all Quality Assurance Procedures (QAPs).,Lead by example, strictly adhering to established cGMPs and Food Safety policy requirements.,Comply with federal, state, and local dairy food regulations.,Adhere to the Saputo Code of Ethics and actively apply the Saputo Company Values.,Work together professionally with co-workers and other department personnel.,Other duties as required by management.
High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred).,For internal candidates, two years experience in food manufacturing at an operator level.,Previous experience with food quality specifications, physical and analytical testing, process control monitoring, and positive release documentation or similar experience with strict adherence to protocol (preferred).,Advanced quality/food safety training and/or certifications (a plus, but not required).,Ability to pass and successfully maintain regulatory certification, as required.
