Description

This role provides administrative and case-specific support to Moderna’s IP Litigation (IPL) team for complex U.S. and international legal matters. The partner will work closely with the IPL team, internal stakeholders, outside counsel, and e-discovery vendors to manage discovery, document management, budgeting, expert workflows, and implement IPL operational initiatives, including those involving AI-enabled process improvements.

What We're Looking For

Support day-to-day legal activities across active matters and coordinate support with the IP Litigation team, internal stakeholders, and outside counsel.,Assist with custodian interviews and coordinate collection of relevant data sources.,Assist with drafting, dissemination, and administration of legal holds and other preservation processes; track acknowledgements.,Maintain legal calendars and internal deadline tracking; monitor key case milestones and support related reporting.,Organize and assist with gathering case documents and information for legal needs (e.g., discovery response, internal fact development, expert tracking).,Assist with running internal conflict checks on potential case experts and coordinate with external counsel.,Upload, code, and track case-specific documents in databases such as Relativity.,Coordinate with internal stakeholders and e-discovery vendors regarding data collections, processing, hosting, review support, and quality control.,Work with the team and e-discovery vendor to assist with document reviews as needed.,Support the development and continuous improvement of document reuse systems and related repositories.,Maintain matter workspaces and internal repositories (SharePoint matter sites and case files).,Support new matter intake and set-up, including opening new matters, coordinating external counsel and vendor onboarding.,Support budgeting and billing processes, including coordinating budget updates, updating monthly budgets/spend tracking, and routing/approving invoices.,Support development and implementation of administrative and case-specific IP legal processes.,Participate in AI-related initiatives to improve legal support workflows, including using approved AI tools and/or GPT-enabled support.

Ideal Candidate

University degree required.,3–5 years of legal experience (in-house or at a law firm), preferably supporting large, cross-border legal matters.,Strong written and verbal communication skills.,Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.,Willingness to collaborate, take initiative, and follow through consistently in a team environment.,Proficiency in English (verbal and/or written) required due to global collaboration needs.,Prior e-discovery experience in large, cross-border legal matters (preferred).,Prior experience managing or assisting with complex document reviews (preferred).,Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Suites; familiarity with Microsoft Lists (preferred); SharePoint experience (preferred).,Prior use of AI tools and/or experience developing GPTs or implementing AI-enabled workflows in a legal setting (preferred).
