Description

Bell Canada's Legal and Regulatory team is seeking an experienced and talented lawyer to join their litigation team, with a specialization in class actions. The role involves managing a diverse portfolio of complex cases, providing strategic legal advice to various Bell business units and subsidiaries, collaborating with external firms, and actively participating in settlement negotiations. The position requires an ability to analyze legal risks, draft legal documents, and master eDiscovery management in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

What We're Looking For

Manage and oversee a diverse portfolio of complex cases, including class actions, commercial litigation and arbitration, and disputes involving other telecommunications companies (potentially including CRTC regulations).,Collaborate closely with external firms to ensure effective and strategic case management.,Analyze and assess the legal risks associated with litigation and propose pragmatic and innovative solutions.,Provide proactive and strategic legal advice to internal teams on a variety of issues, including consumer law, contract law, real estate law, civil liability (personal injury, property damage), defamation and privacy.,Draft and revise legal documents, such as briefs and procedures.,Actively participate in settlement negotiations, when necessary.,Master the management of electronic and documentary evidence (eDiscovery).,Minimum of 5 to 7 years of litigation experience, ideally in private practice (with experience in class actions) or in-house.,Court advocacy experience.,Bilingual in French and English.
