The Lactose Operator is responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of lactose processing equipment. This role involves monitoring production flow, ensuring product quality meets strict standards, and maintaining equipment cleanliness through standardized sanitation procedures.
Operate and monitor lactose processing machinery and systems,Perform Clean-In-Place (CIP) and manual cleaning of equipment,Complete accurate production logs and quality documentation,Monitor gauges and automated systems to maintain product specifications,Comply with all safety, SQF, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards,Collaborate with laboratory staff for product testing and validation
Prior experience in a manufacturing or dairy environment preferred,Ability to work independently and as part of a team,Physical capability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs,Availability to work the designated 3rd shift schedule
High School Diploma or equivalent
3rd Shift (Typical hours: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM or similar)
Must be able to work in varying temperature conditions; Requires standing, walking, and climbing stairs for the duration of the shift.
