Description

The Principal Controller will apply their expertise in a structured and evolving environment, significantly impacting operations and strategic decisions. This role requires a rigorous, organized, and analytical professional with strong judgment, autonomy, and a proactive approach. The ideal candidate is an experienced financial controller with leadership skills, dedicated to continuous process improvement and acting as a strategic partner to management. They will collaborate closely with the General Manager and finance team, overseeing the accounting operations for the group's companies.

What We're Looking For

Key responsibilities include implementing accounting policies, internal controls, and business processes; planning and coordinating the full accounting cycle; preparing consolidated financial statements and key financial indicators; analyzing financial data and providing recommendations; participating in budget creation and variance analysis; managing accounting and tax services for associates; contributing to financing decisions; and assisting with recruitment, training, and management of finance personnel. The role also involves evaluating and improving existing accounting processes and preparing ad-hoc financial analyses.

Ideal Candidate

Bachelor's Degree in accounting. A CPA designation (or in progress) is an asset. Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role. Over 3 years of experience within a professional services firm is an asset.
