Description

The Investment Planning Specialist at CIBC joins the Investment Specialist team in Personal and Business Banking. This role focuses on building lasting client relationships, providing investment planning advice, and facilitating new client relationships through business development activities within the community. The specialist will collaborate with banking centre teams to offer personalized investment advice and comprehensive planning support to help clients achieve their financial goals. Additionally, the role involves understanding the local market, developing sales plans, and increasing CIBC's brand awareness through local marketing and community involvement.

Focus on client engagement, connecting on a personal level to make interactions meaningful and meeting clients on their schedule.,Collaborate with Banking Centre teams to enhance existing relationships by providing personalized investment advice and comprehensive planning support.,Deeply understand the local market and potential client base to build sales plans and convert leads into client relationships.,Use strong relationship-building and networking skills to generate opportunities and deliver results.,Heighten CIBC brand awareness through local marketing and outreach activities, establishing local contacts and partnering with community organizations.,Act as an owner, taking the lead and delivering results.,Be driven to succeed, motivated by accomplishing goals and making an impact.,Be passionate about people, building trust through respect and authenticity.,Be driven by collective success, valuing collaboration and inclusive teamwork.,Legally eligible to work at the specified location(s) and, where applicable, have a valid work or study permit.

Ideal Candidate

Current accreditation and good standing Mutual Funds License (Canadian Securities Course or Investment Funds In Canada).,Required within the first year: Personal Financial Planner (PFP) or Registered Retirement Consultant (RRC – Quebec based employees only). The CFP or IQPF will also satisfy this requirement.
