Investment and Retirement Planning Associate

Description

The Investment and Retirement Planning (IRP) Associate provides direct client and sales support to Financial Planners, enabling them to focus on planning, advice activities, and acquiring new clients. This role contributes to an excellent client experience through valuable support and problem resolution, collaborating with partners to identify and meet client needs, and expanding the team's network. The associate will also bring innovative ideas to grow market share and enhance team success.

What We're Looking For

Assist Financial Planners with client meeting preparations and support the fulfillment of simple investment solutions and referrals.

Maintain a high level of client experience and service.

Provide support for client requests, act as a point of contact for client concerns, and ensure accuracy of documentation.

Leverage routines for efficient task completion and identify areas for improvement.

Maximize opportunities to identify client needs, make referrals, acquire new investment clients and assets, and track progress against the team's annual plan.

Exercise due diligence in following policies and procedures and correct operational risks.

Support Financial Planners with administrative activities and proactive client contact.

Ideal Candidate

Mutual Funds accreditation (e.g., Investment Funds in Canada, or the Canadian Securities Course).

Previous experience in investments.

Demonstrated success working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage competing priorities, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills.

IT literacy including Microsoft Office suite.

Excellent communication skills.

Flexibility, eagerness to learn, strong personal ethics, and hunger for success.

Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
