The Investment Advisor role at RBC Dominion Securities focuses on cultivating and managing client relationships, particularly with high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners. The advisor is responsible for guiding clients towards their financial objectives through tailored planning and advice, utilizing RBC's extensive investment and wealth management resources to develop customized portfolios and wealth strategies. This position offers the autonomy to operate an independent business within the RBC brand, supported by the bank's reputation and resources.

What We're Looking For

Demonstrate excellent people and problem-solving skills to build and maintain strong client relationships.,Possess a self-starter mindset and a strong desire to help individuals achieve their life goals through robust financial planning and advice.,Leverage RBC Dominion Securities' established brand to attract and build a client base, managing complex financial needs.,Utilize RBC's comprehensive investment and wealth management tools to create bespoke portfolios and financial plans.,Cultivate trusted, long-term, and often multi-generational relationships through personalized service and advice.,Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with RBC partners, such as Personal & Commercial Banking and Insurance, to provide holistic client support.,Possess 4-6 years of experience in outbound sales.,Be comfortable with a compensation structure that is 100% commission-based.,Completion of the Canadian Investment Regulatory Exam (CIRE) and the Retail Securities Exam (RSE) is required, either completed already or prior to the start date.,Exhibit a strong passion for financial planning and a keen interest in portfolio management.,Demonstrate strong relationship-building skills and the ability to connect with diverse individuals.

Ideal Candidate

Experience in a direct marketing role.,Demonstrated success in high-value sales and business development, across any industry or discipline.,Completion of Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Investment Manager (CIM), and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) are considered assets.
