Intermediate Corporate Paralegal
Description
KPMG is seeking an experienced Corporate Paralegal to join their Family Office Team. This role involves managing corporate files, supporting clients through the corporate life cycle and transactional mandates, and working closely with lawyers, associates, and administrative staff. The team assists companies and individuals with estate and wealth planning, corporate reorganizations, and restructurings, from planning to implementation. The role is hybrid, requiring in-person presence in Montreal.
What We're Looking For
Manage corporate records, including minute books, registers, ledgers, and the corporate entity database, and oversee digitization of physical minute books.,Prepare documents for corporate formation, organization, amendment, continuance, amalgamation, extra-provincial registration, and dissolution of various business structures.,Work on multiple transactions simultaneously, providing legal and administrative support to lawyers, monitoring corporate law filings, and establishing client relationships.,Maintain and contribute to precedent databases and communicate with lawyers regarding legal matters.,Respond to complex requests for information related to corporate secretarial matters from clients.,Perform online searches (Corporations Canada, REQ, RDPRM, Land Registry Office).,Manage corporate law filings and ensure timely submission of annual declarations and transactional filings.
Ideal Candidate
Minimum of five (5) years' experience as a Corporate Law Paralegal.,Experience with corporate transactional work.
