This opportunity at RBC Summer Tech Labs 2026 is for bright-minded high school students passionate about technology and innovation. As an Innovation Developer, you will work in a flexible, start-up-like environment, ideating, innovating, and building. You will collaborate with a team of three other high school students to design, develop, and test a working prototype that addresses a real business problem, using design thinking and exploring new technologies. The role involves presenting solutions, pitching ideas, and receiving mentorship from RBC technologists and business professionals.

What We're Looking For

Design, develop, and test a prototype for a business unit at RBC.,Use technologies such as JavaScript, GitHub, and REACT.js to build a proof of concept/prototype.,Collaborate with business users and senior leaders to gather requirements and brainstorm solutions.,Learn to present solutions and pitch ideas.,Currently enrolled in an Ontario-based high school in Grade 11 or Grade 12, with a passion for Computer Science, Engineering, or Entrepreneurship.,Working knowledge of one or more programming languages.,Applied experience with technology concepts or coding (e.g., attended hackathons, clubs, tech-focused programs).,Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).,Team player with a strong desire to collaborate to generate solutions.,Creative and analytical thinker who is self-driven and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.,MS Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).

Ideal Candidate

Currently enrolled in an Ontario-based high school in Grade 11 or Grade 12, and have passion for Computer Science, Engineering, or Entrepreneurship.,Working knowledge of one or more programming languages.,Applied experience with technology concepts or coding (attended hackathons, clubs, tech focused programs, etc.).
