HH Angus is seeking a Principal Building Electrical Engineer for their expanding regional office. The role involves working on diverse projects within various sectors such as mission-critical systems, public transport, secure facilities, hospitals, office buildings, and airports. This position offers a dynamic environment for an experienced electrical engineer with strong design skills and a desire to advance their career by collaborating with industry professionals.
What We're Looking For
Provide individual contribution as a seasoned professional.
Develop technical designs for a wide variety of technically complex, high-value, multi-trade projects.
Independently create conceptual drawings and design specifications, and regularly evaluate constructability.
Independently develop and approve standards and reports.
Contribute to project plan development, participate in planning and project management meetings, and make recommendations for improvement to ensure deliverables and timelines are met.
Review the work of junior engineers on conventional projects.
Complete own work within budget hours.
Assume responsibility for all design aspects until construction completion.
Work autonomously to resolve difficult and sometimes complex problems.
Oversee construction work on sites.
Other responsibilities as needed.
Ideal Candidate
University degree in Electrical Engineering.
10 or more years of experience in consulting engineering.
Accredited member of the OIQ (Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec).
