Human Resources Business Partner - Distribution Center

Description

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) at the ALDO Group's distribution center will report to the Lead, HR Business Partner & Projects. This role is crucial for ensuring an exceptional employee experience, supporting leaders in team management, and contributing to operational growth. The HRBP acts as a link between daily operations and HR strategies, focusing on impact, operational optimization, and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include leading the HR cycle (performance, engagement, recognition, salary adjustments), advising managers on HR practices (labor relations, performance, change management, occupational health and safety), understanding daily operations for tailored support, acting as a change agent, optimizing organizational procedures, participating in workforce planning, fostering a positive work environment, promoting inclusive HR practices, assisting in recruiting, planning hiring needs, leading onboarding and training, supporting performance evaluation and succession planning, managing disciplinary files, and participating in the Health & Safety Committee and disability programs.

What We're Looking For

Lead the HR cycle at the Distribution Center: performance management, engagement, recognition, and annual salary adjustments.,Advise managers on all HR practices: labor relations, performance, change management, engagement, and occupational health and safety.,Understand the center’s daily operations to provide concrete, tailored support aligned with on‑the‑ground realities.,Act as a change agent by supporting managers and teams in adopting new practices, processes, and tools.,Develop, optimize, and deploy organizational procedures to ensure alignment with the operational realities of the distribution center.,Actively participate in workforce planning and the optimization of work organization.,Foster a work environment focused on safety, collaboration, and respect.,Promote inclusive HR practices by guiding managers toward equitable behaviors and decisions.,Participate in recruiting key roles for the distribution center (operations, supervision, support).,Plan hiring needs required for smooth operations in collaboration with the talent acquisition team.,Lead onboarding and training processes.,Support managers in performance evaluation, skills management, and succession planning.,Manage disciplinary files and sensitive situations with rigor and fairness.,Participate in the Health & Safety Committee and promote a prevention‑focused culture.,Support return‑to‑work processes and disability programs.

Ideal Candidate

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience.,5 to 7 years of experience in a generalist or HR business partner role, ideally in a manufacturing, logistics, or distribution center environment.,Strong ability to work on the floor, build trust‑based relationships, and influence operational leaders.,Excellent communication skills and strong professional judgment.,Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.,Fluency in both French and English as it involves communication with clients and stakeholders across Canada, including provinces where English is the primary language of business.,Knowledge of Québec labor laws.
