GxP IT Systems Engineer, Manufacturing and Labs

Description

This hands-on role involves ensuring the uninterrupted performance and support of GxP IT and Operational Technology (OT) systems within Moderna's manufacturing and laboratory environments. The engineer will troubleshoot and maintain critical infrastructure components like VMware, Windows Servers, DNS/DHCP, and network architecture, as well as administer core manufacturing applications such as Syncade, DeltaV, OSI PI, BMS, and ThinManager. Responsibilities also include supporting various analytical instruments, label printers, and end-user computing devices. Collaboration with cybersecurity, enterprise digital, automation, and operations teams is essential for ensuring compliance, security, system integration, and operational uptime in a regulated GMP setting. The position also supports qualification and validation processes and contributes to cybersecurity initiatives.

What We're Looking For

Ensure uninterrupted performance of systems supporting GMP operations, including virtual machines, servers, and critical manufacturing applications.,Troubleshoot and maintain infrastructure components such as VMware, Windows Servers, DNS/DHCP, network architecture, and wireless networks in GMP settings.,Administer and support core manufacturing systems like Syncade, DeltaV, OSI PI, BMS, ThinManager, and various analytical instruments and label printers.,Collaborate with cybersecurity and enterprise digital teams to address compliance, security, and systems integration requirements.,Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans specific to manufacturing and lab environments.,Support qualification and validation processes (IQ/OQ/PQ) in line with regulatory GxP frameworks.,Provide strategic input to stakeholders on IT/OT tools and infrastructure.,Actively contribute to the implementation and troubleshooting of cybersecurity applications and network topology optimization for lab and plant systems.,Serve as Tier 1 front-line support for manufacturing systems, partnering with engineering and operations to maintain uptime.,Monitor, triage, and resolve tickets across shop floor systems (workstations, label printers, HMIs, Thin Manager, scanners, peripherals), ensuring SLA adherence.,Troubleshoot infrastructure (Windows servers, VMware/Hyper-V, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, file/print, time sync) and escalate as needed.,Execute approved GxP changes, patches, and maintenance under formal change control with validated documentation.,Implement, maintain, and administer end-user computing devices (laptops, mobile phones, etc.) including OS, MS Office Suite, third-party applications, and hardware issues.,Troubleshoot, repair, and configure Apple iOS devices, laptops, imaging, data wiping, and asset control.,Deliver a high-quality, customer-centric experience when working with end users.,Partner with Automation, Plant/Lab Engineering, QC/QA, and Digital Core teams to restore service rapidly, schedule maintenance windows, and communicate outages.
