Group Product Manager, Payments - Simplii Financial

Description

The Group Product Manager, Payments for Simplii Financial is a key role responsible for leading the strategy, roadmap, and performance of money movement products, including e-Transfer, EFT, Bill Pay, RTR, and Open Banking capabilities. This role involves collaborating with various cross-functional teams to deliver secure, resilient, and scalable payment solutions, translating customer insights into product opportunities, and being accountable for key performance indicators related to payment transactions.

What We're Looking For

Define and execute product strategy for money movement across existing and future capabilities.,Translate customer data, friction points, and ecosystem shifts into differentiated product opportunities.,Partner with Technology, Risk, Compliance, Operations, and Network teams to deliver payment capabilities.,Lead 'Scope & Define' sessions to translate requirements into technical specifications.,Accountable for KPIs including transaction growth, success rate, cost to serve, and customer satisfaction.,Communicate complex product strategy, trade-offs, and delivery risks to executive stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate

5-7 years experience within fintech or financial services with direct ownership of money movement capabilities (eTransfer, EFT/ACH, Bill Pay, wires, or real time payments).,Strong understanding of RTR, ISO 20022, open banking frameworks, and API-driven architectures.,Ability to translate technical constraints into customer-centric solutions.,Risk mindset and strong ability to identify edge cases in transaction processing and fraud mitigation strategies.,Data-driven decision making and ability to leverage analytics, experimentation, and insights.,Experience explaining highly technical network requirements to non-technical stakeholders (and vice-versa).
