This is a two-year development program at RBC designed to accelerate careers in risk management. Associates will complete four 6-month placements across various risk disciplines like Commercial and Wholesale Credit Risk, Operational Risk, Market and Counterparty Credit Risk, Retail Risk, Enterprise Risk, the Chief Operating Office, and Financial Crimes. The program offers a strong support system, including a mentor, sponsor, training, and networking events, and provides exposure to enterprise-level decisions.
Engaging with enterprise partners on transformative, high-impact projects.,Building risk-based financial models for stress testing, scenario analysis, and opportunity sizing.,Designing and prototyping new processes, tools, and capabilities using data visualization, segmentation, and analytics.,Leading specialized strategic projects to shape risk management practices.,Creating impactful reports and insights for senior leadership and external stakeholders.,Supporting internal and external events.
Strong quantitative foundation in math, computer science, financial engineering, modeling, or complex problem-solving.,Proficiency in Python or SQL is a plus (skills will be developed if not possessed).,Creative storyteller with analytical rigor.,Self-driven and collaborative, comfortable leading without authority.,Passionate about finance and risk management.,Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
