This role within CIBC's US Capital Markets CAO group involves providing strategic and operational leadership, particularly for the Global Markets Business Management Team. The individual will act as a primary liaison between Front Office Trading teams, Sales desks, and internal/external stakeholders, focusing on revenue generation, project management, and maintaining a robust control environment to drive profitability and advance business strategy, with a primary focus on Fixed Income and Distribution.
Effectively prioritize, delegate, and execute assignments, projects, and initiatives.,Contribute to implementing business strategy and coordinate project plans and business requirements, ensuring compliance.,Be responsive and proactive in addressing business inquiries and resolving day-to-day issues.,Establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders across supported business areas and Senior Management.,Partner with cross-functional groups (Middle Office, Finance, Operations, Technology, Compliance, Legal, Regulatory Supervision, Internal Audit) to resolve issues and achieve objectives.,Assist in identifying and escalating issues, risks, and dependencies.,Coordinate responses to auditor/regulator requests, ensuring understanding and implementation of regulations and CIBC policies.,Manage and maintain an effective internal control structure.,Manage and analyze financials for the US Trade Floor, including budgeting, forecasting, and expense control.,Provide accurate financial reports to management.,Partner with technology for design and build requirements and participate in technology projects.,Support and organize technology infrastructure initiatives for the U.S. Trade Floor.,Liaise with external vendors and third-party providers for market data services, execution platforms, and broker contracts.,Collaborate with risk groups to understand credit, market, and operational risk.,Create a positive work environment and champion CIBC’s values.
